Hashrate Abnormality and Compensation Mechanism

The mining hashrate value on the BitFuFu platform is an approximation of the plan's rated hashrate. Due to the volatility of mining data and network environment factors, the actual hashrate value will fluctuate within a small range, but it is typically very close to the plan's hashrate value. If the actual mining hashrate is significantly lower than 95% of the plan's hashrate value (more attention should be paid to the daily average hashrate), the platform will compensate for the hashrate after verification.

Hashrate Abnormal Fluctuation Compensation Methods

BitFuFu provides two main compensation methods for abnormal hashrate fluctuations:

1:1 Time Extension When the hashrate drops to zero due to force majeure factors such as mining farm power outages or mining farm maintenance, BitFuFu will extend the mining time of the affected plans at a 1:1 ratio:

  • Power outage duration within one hour: The hourly hashrate of the user's contract is affected. The platform will provide a corresponding hashrate boost compensation, which is usually completed within 24 hours.
  • Power outage duration over one hour: The user's contract will receive a time compensation, meaning the mining time will be extended by however long the power outage lasted.
  • Service fee: Service fees will not be deducted during the power outage period, but service fees must be paid for the extended period.

Extension compensation will be automatically added to the user's account after power is restored. The actual compensation time is subject to the order details, as the affected time may vary for each user.

BitFuFu guarantees the stability of users' hourly and daily hashrates. If the hashrate operation and revenue records displayed on the third-party observer link are normal, the hashrate is considered to be in a stable state.

Hashrate Boost Compensation If the system detects that the abnormal hashrate fluctuation exceeds 5% within 24 hours (but the hashrate has not dropped to zero), the platform will automatically boost the hashrate for compensation when the mining farm has sufficient hashrate capacity. This type of compensation is usually completed within the next 24 hours or a few days, until the daily average hashrate returns to normal. Users should pay attention to changes in their daily average hashrate.
