How to Bind Google Authentication

To maximize the security of your account funds, BitFuFu strongly recommends that every user binds Google Authentication (Google Authenticator). This will provide your account with a second layer of protection in addition to your login password.

Preparation

Before starting the binding process, please install Google Authenticator on your mobile phone:

  • Android Users: Search for "Google Authenticator" in the Google Play Store to download and install it.
  • iOS Users: Search for "Google Authenticator" in the App Store to download and install it.

Binding Process

  • 1.Enter Account Settings: Log in to the BitFuFu official website, click on "Dashboard" in the upper right corner, and enter the "Settings" page.

  • 2.Initiate Binding: Find "Google Verification" in the "Account Settings" section and click the "Bind" button on the right.

  • 3.Get Secret Key / QR Code:
    • The page will display a QR Code and a 16-digit secret key.
    • Important Note: Please be sure to back up this secret key in a safe place (such as writing it down on paper). If your phone is lost, this secret key is the only credential to recover your authenticator.

  • 4.Add Account in the App:
    • Open the Google Authenticator App on your phone.
    • Tap the "+" icon in the bottom right corner, and choose "Scan a QR code" or "Enter a setup key".
    • Once successfully added, a 6-digit dynamic code labeled "BitFuFu" will appear in the App.
  • 5.Complete Verification:
  • Return to the BitFuFu binding page.Enter your email/mobile verification code, along with the current 6-digit Google verification code displayed in the App.Click "Open Google Authentication" to complete the setup.

Precautions

  • Time Synchronization: Google verification codes are generated based on time. If you receive a "verification code error," please check whether your phone's time is synchronized with internet time (the discrepancy must be within 30 seconds).
  • Do Not Uninstall the App: Before unbinding Google Authentication, do not uninstall the authenticator App at will, otherwise you will be unable to log into your account.
  • Multiple Protection: It is recommended to bind both your phone number and email at the same time for secure recovery in extreme situations.
